Konnor's Birth in Pictures

My awesome photographer (and friend) captured these images the day of Konnor's birth. The beauty of the pictures, the way she captured the fear, anticipation, relief and joy in my eyes through the lense of her camera will be something I can never thank her enough for.

Please visit her at http://www.erinjensen.com/ if you are in the Kansas City area and need an awesome photographer.

I can't seem to get the picture show below to work. If it doesn't for you, go here.

(Over)Due

Obviously this blog has been terribly neglected over the last several months. You all are long overdue for an update.

There has however been a reason...(which those of you in real life know)

Kelsey is set to be a big sister any day now.
My due date has come and gone.

She is super excited about being a "helper" and laughs when we talk about baby brother crying "wa wa wa."

I think this will be great for her, though an adjustment for all of us.

Here is a video of her "playing" with Baby Brother the other day.

Any prayers for a positive, "normal" labor and delivery experience would be much appreciated.

Counting Our Blessings

This little girl of mine never ceases to amaze me.

Tonight was the first time we got these puzzle pieces out. It was the first time I asked her to do anything like this with numbers.

Where does she pick this stuff up?

I am so proud.

Daddy's finally gotten around to updates

Kelsey just talked to me, said about 3 things, multiple times, and smiled after each, also reached up and grabbed and held my chin for quite a while, then I touched hers, and she smiled, now singing "She's Everything" by Brad Paisley , she's singing back to me, and now now Emerson Drive 7/15/09 12:26a Last night, for 20 minutes, rode a new board with rollers, like a skateboard, only wider, while sitting Indian style, would say go, then laugh when it hit Kelly's legs. Did it over, and over and over. Then, laid herself forward, and when we said up, up, she would sit up and balanced!

I went in to looked at her last night, was sleeping. I said a prayer for her, and her hand was open, fingers out, sleeping soundly. I gave a kiss toward her, with minimal sound, and in her sleep, she smacked her lips a kiss back 7/4/09 2:39p
